Virtual Gastric Band Surgery using Hypnotherapy
Obesity is a worldwide epidemic. On average, somewhere between 15% to 20% of the World’s population are clinically obese. New research published in the Lancet Medical Journal shows that in Britain, 26% of women and 19% of men are currently clinically obese.
Gastric Bands are available on the NHS, at a cost of around £7,000, to those who have problems with their weight, but there are a lot of side effects and risks attached to the surgery. The Virtual Gastric Band procedure using Hypnotherapy is completely safe with an average weight loss of 3 stone.
If your body mass index (BMI) is 30 or above you would qualify for this procedure.
Please note: for those of you who are very muscular your BMI may indicate that you are obese, even if you have very little body fat.
For you, your waist measurement would also be considered alongside your BMI. This gives a more accurate picture of whether you are actually classified as clinically obese i.e. your present weight is increasing your risk of obesity-related health problems, such as type 2 diabetes and heart disease.
For women, a waist circumference of 80cm or more would indicate increased risk of obesity-related health problems and a circumference of 88cm plus shows a substantially increased risk.
A waist circumference of 94cm or more for men indicates increased risk of obesity-related health problems and a circumference of 102cm plus means a substantially increased risk.
