Complementary Cancer/Palliative Care

Brief explanation of the therapy

I offer a professional and caring approach that will positively assist you in your journey with cancer or any other condition involving palliative care no matter what stage you are at in that journey.  My support complements your medical treatment by relieving stresses and anxieties, enhancing a positive mind-set, teaching you coping skills with pain management or lifestyle adjustments using techniques to support you through the whole process on an emotional/psychological level.   Based on your needs and you as an individual, I’ll be drawing on an eclectic mix of therapies including Clinical Hypnotherapy, CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), Mindfulness Meditation and NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming).

Essentially, this approach will help you to cope as well as you can, developing or retaining a positive mental attitude, relaxing as often as you can, managing pain/sickness and ultimately giving yourself the best chance in dealing and coping with the diagnosis and treatment ahead.

And should your partner require any relaxation or support they can attend their own personal sessions too if they wish to.  I offer help in the following categories:

Complementary Cancer/Palliative Care

  • Consultation –  talking in a safe caring environment and relaxation.
  • Your carer – talking in a safe caring environment and relaxation.
  •  Motivating, positive visualisation and lifestyle changes.
  • Pain Management/Preparation for Medical Treatment – relieving anxiety.
  • Reinforcement  the all clear – continue recovery
  • Dealing with Re-occurrence
  • Acceptance – Assisting you to meet your objectives

The first session is a consultation followed by a relaxing hypnotherapy/meditation session.  Thereon, if you’re happy to proceed, we’ll be working together on your particular requirements.  I will support you, guide you and we will work as a team in an environment of complete confidentiality, openness and trust.

What happens in a session
